CLINTON — Mary Jo Jones, 77, of Clinton and formerly of Hillsdale, Ind. passed away at 7:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, in Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton. She was born Oct. 17, 1932 in Forest, Ind. the daughter of Teddy Gordon and Boneida Foreman Gordon.
Survivors include her son, Robert Howard Jones Jr. of Peru, Ind.; daughters, Deborah Lynn Jones and Pamela Sue Dailey (Duane) all of Hillsdale; sister, Thelma Ann Brown of Hillsdale; brothers, Robert Gordon of Ridge Farm, Ill. and William Gordon of Danville, Ill.; brothers-in-law, Oliver Northcutt of Monon, Ind. and Robert Gilmore of Terre Haute; sister-in-law, Barbara Hardman of Hillsdale; friend, Jean Heber of Hillsdale; three granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; one grandson; two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Jones Sr. on Dec. 7, 1981; sister, Phyllis Northcutt; brothers, Teddy and Warren Gordon.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday in Brown Funeral Home in Montezuma, with the Rev. Jim Roland officiating. Visitation is 11 a.m. until time of service Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma.
