Phyllis D. Hughes, 83, of Terre Haute, died at her residence on June 15, 2009. She was born on Feb. 17, 1926, to Ed and Nell (Hartman) McMullen. She lived her early life in the Rosedale area and graduated from Rosedale High School. Her husband, Charles Robert Hughes, preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1995.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David and Lisa Hughes of Terre Haute; and a sister, Donella Johnson of Florida.
Memorial services are 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with the Rev. Larry Scott officiating. Calling hours are from noon until services.
