Ruth M. Neiswinger

POLAND — Ruth M. Neiswinger, 89, of Poland, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Clarion Hospital, west of Avon. Ruth was born in Riley, on Jan. 16, 1920, the daughter of William and Stella Cohn Hartley. She married Keith Neiswinger, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1993. Ruth was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Indianapolis. She was a homemaker.

Ruth is survived by two sons, Earl Neiswinger and wife Nancy of Terre Haute, Carl Neiswinger and wife Mary of Brownsburg; a daughter, Sarah Dye and her husband Terry of Poland; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob Hartley of Nebraska; two sisters, Francis Ward and Doris Duvol of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, William Neiswinger in 1998.

Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday Oct. 2, 2009, at the funeral home, with the Revs. Gene Jeffers and Rev. Bob Eaton co-officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery. Ruth’s family suggests that donations in her honor be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
