Betty Jean Randolph


DANA — Betty Jean Randolph, 85, of Dana, died 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Southwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Terre Haute. She was a homemaker. She was born on June 25, 1924, in St. Bernice, to Ernest McCart and Lura Mundy McCart.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Blaine Randolph, whom she married on April 21, 1946, in Odon and died Aug. 9, 2008.

Survivors include one son, Gary Randolph and his wife Mary Ann of Anderson; two daughters, Jeannine Brim and her husband Robert of Centerville and Lynn Williams and her husband Kevin of Clinton; six grandchildren, Brian (Jill) Williams, Scott Brim, Jennifer (Andy) Natalie, Brooke Randolph, Daniel Randolph and Brandon Brim; and five great-grandchildren, Kael Williams, Kyanne Williams, Emma Natalie, Anna Natalie and Jenna Natalie.

She was a member of Bono United Methodist Church, a member of United Methodist Women of Bono, a member of Happy Homemakers Club and she volunteered at Vermillion County Hospital. She was a 1942 graduate of Odon High School.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at Bono Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Charlie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow services in Bono Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home, 225 Maple Street, Dana.
