Janice G. Shuey

Janice G. Shuey, 65, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009, at Union Hospital. She was born July 3, 1944, in Terre Haute, to James and Alma Garnet.

Survivors include her companion, Jerry Brady; four sons, Walter Stevens, David Dis Pennett Sr. and wife Lori, Danny Dis Pennett and wife Terri, Phillip Shuey and wife Theresa; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Francis Shuey; her parents; one sister, Kathryn Johnson; one brother, William Christenberry; and a son, Billy Stevens.

She was a member of American Legion Post 104 Ladies Auxiliary, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6574 Ladies Auxiliary.

Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Mattox-Ryan Funeral Home, 602 S. Seventh St., with the Rev. James Scarbrough officiating. Burial is at Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
