Bart E. Ferran

Bart E. Ferran, 91, of West Terre Haute, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday July 25, 2009. He was born July 31, 1917, to Martin and Della Ferran. He was the owner of Ferran Glass Shop in Terre Haute.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosanna; his four children, Dianne (Ron) Vanlandingham, Erma (James) Glass, Jerry (Nancy) Ferran, and Beverly (Ron) Strow; his 10 grandchildren, Scott, Robin, Lisa, Jennifer, Jeremy, Angela, Jan, Christy, Shelby, and Lacey; his 19 great-grandchildren, Danielle, Sophia, Brady, Laurie, Emily, Alex, Katlyn, Cierra, Lily, Allie, Nathaniel, Ryan, Jordan, Jacob, Justin, Savanna, Sammy, Murray, and Eva; his brother, Earl Wayne Ferran; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Lance; a brother, Leon; and a sister, Mildred.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a longtime member of the Smith Park United Methodist Church, and a past member of the Swinging Mates Square Dance Club.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St., in West Terre Haute, with the Rev. Ed Gladdish officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
