Myron E. Linnabary


Myron E. Linnabary, 76, of Terre Haute died on July 1, 2009. He was born on Sept. 9, 1932 in Terre Haute to Otto and Nellie (Cox) Linnabary. He was a decorated Army veteran of the Korean War, a lifetime member of VFW 972, and a member and nightly visitor of Krietenstein American Legion Post 104 where he enjoyed the companionship of the other members, many friends, and their families. He was a retired material handler from Pillsbury Company. His enjoyments were working in his yard, helping everyone that needed it with their remodeling or construction projects and most of all his special relationship with each and every one of his grandchildren and his ability to make them all know and feel how special they were to him.

His first wife, Gladys Linnabary, preceded him in death in 1983.

His survivors include his wife Leona (Harris) Linnabary, stepchildren, Tommy Rollo of Brazil, Robert Taylor of Terre Haute, William Taylor of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Carol Ann Bridgewater of Brazil. His also has a twin brother, Byron Linnabary, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

His brothers Dewey, Kenneth, and Donald preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel with his grandsons, Jeffrey, Jim and Ronnie Bridgewater officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park with military rites by Krietenstein American Legion Post 104. Calling hours will be Monday from 11 a.m. until services.
