Opal Violet Lloyd, 91, of Terre Haute, went home to be with the Lord at 8:15 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2009, at Union Hospital. She was born Jan. 23, 1918, in West Terre Haute, to Forest Webster and Mayme P. Greenlee Webster. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Brown Lloyd, who died Feb. 20, 1998.
She is survived by two daughters, Jayne Lloyd of Terre Haute, Jennifer Cook and husband Bob of Rosedale; one son, Ronald Lloyd and wife Sherry of Staunton; five grandchildren, Greg Lloyd and wife Tina, Karen Mager and husband Mike, Katie Lloyd, Jenny Vanesky and husband Jeremy, and Jessy Keith and husband Troy; seven great-grandchildren, Tom Lloyd, John Lloyd, Emily Mager, Clint Mager, Violet Keith, Brianna Keith, and JayCee Vanesky.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., with the Rev. Gary Blackburn officiating. Burial will be at Dunlap Cemetery, near Dennison, Ill. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m.
