Margaret E. (Frazier) Elliott, 86, of Bowling Green, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012. Margaret was born to Maurice W. and Lela M. (Dowden) Frazier, on March 11, 1926, in Bridgeport. She was a 1945 Decatur Central High School graduate. Margaret married James Julius Elliott II on March 11, 1950.
She was a full-time farmer with her husband, Jim. Margaret was a member of Patricksburg United Methodist Church. She has lived in Bowling Green, since 1971, and in Decatur Township for 45 years.
She is survived by five children, Diana Roberts of Monrovia, Janet (Bobby) Rainey of Indianapolis, Sheryl (Richard) Garrett of Terre Haute, James (Jackie) Elliott III of Bowling Green, and Karen (Ray) Walden of Cloverdale; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy (Tom) Stephens. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, Jim; and two sisters, Mary Gaines and Doris Jones.
Calling hours for Margaret will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary, in Mooresville. There will be a 10:30 a.m. Celebration of Life service for Margaret on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at the banquet center. She will be laid to rest in Floral Park Cemetery.
