Mary A. ‘Archer’ Bridwell

TERRE HAUTE — Mary A. “Archer” Bridwell, 64, of Inverness, Fla., and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at her residence in Inverness. She was born in Springfield, Ill., on June 28, 1948, to the late George and Eva (Boltz) Archer.

Mary arrived in the area in 1992, coming from Chicago, and was a Protestant, a community center coordinator for East Citrus Senior Citizens Center, and a member of the ladies American Legion Auxiliary Post 346, Terre Haute. She enjoyed taking cruises, ceramic painting, and making beaded jewelry.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Kimberly and Teresa Melendez. Survivors include her loving husband of 20 years, Robert Bridwell of Inverness. Other survivors include one son, Jerris Hof of Denver; two daughters, Georgina Hof of Terre Haute, and Dawn Hodge of Orlando, Fla.; several brothers and sisters; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mary's urn will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, in Bushnell, at a later date. Private cremation arrangements under the care of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, in Inverness.
