CHRISMAN, Ill. — Feb. 9, 1968 - Nov. 16, 2012

Carmen Rae (Westerfield) Lorenzen, 44, of Chrisman, and formerly of Paris, Ill., passed away at 3:22 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at her residence. She was a former hairstylist for the Scissor Shack of Paris for several years.

She was born Feb. 9, 1968, in Terre Haute, Ind., the daughter of Kenneth W. and Rebecca Ann (Adams) Westerfield. She married John Spencer Lorenzen on Nov. 22, 1991, in Paris, and he survives.

Other survivors include her parents, Ken and Becky Westerfield of Paris; a son, Zachary Wade Lorenzen at home; a daughter, Alyx Morgan Lorenzen at home; a brother, Michael Ray (Tonya) Westerfield of Paris; her mother-in-law, Leila Lorenzen of Paris; an uncle, Jim Adams of Indianapolis; a brother-in-law, Steve (Vicki) Lorenzen of Chrisman; three sisters-in-law, Nancy (William) Sanders of Okeechobee, Fla., Jeannie (Brad) Taylor of Oakland, Ill., and Cindy (Hans) Andreasen of Terre Haute; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Carmen was a 1986 graduate of Paris High School and a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Paris. She will be remembered as a devoted mother who loved her children dearly.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

 Services celebrating her life will be conducted at 10 a.m. CST Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at Templeton Funeral Home, 600 E. Court St., in Paris. Burial will follow in Spangler Cemetery near Clinton, Ind. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences at:
