Kathleen “Kathy” E. Willyard, 63, of Brazil, formerly of Jasonville, died unexpectedly, Feb. 9, 2013, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital’s emergency room. She was born June 17, 1949, in Mobile, Ala., the daughter of Harold Webster and Ester Stites Webster. On Nov. 24, 1965, she was united in marriage to Donald E. Willyard Sr. While they lived in Jasonville, they attended First Christian Church.
Kathy began her working career with Pizza Hut, first as a waitress at the Linton location in 1992. She worked her way up to area manager from 2002-2008. In 2008 her health became an issue so she had to retire. Her priorities were her family and being great-Mamaw. She also enjoyed shopping, going to the river boat and taking the kids to amusement parks.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Vickie Jeffries; and her son, Michael Willyard in 1982.
Survivors include her husband; children, Don Willyard Jr., Ronald J. Willyard (Casey), and Michelle Willyard, all of Brazil; grandchildren, Jake Willyard, James Willyard, Ronald J. Willyard II, Autumn Dawn Jarrett (Lee), Logan White, Donald Barnes, Stacie Lynn Willyard, and Michael Lee Willyard; great-grandchildren, Matthew Willyard, Sabastian Jarrett, Everlee Jarrett, and soon to be born, Abbigail Willyard; sisters, Terry Creasey of Terre Haute, and Lori Signer (John) of Anderson; brothers, Kenny McClain (Ruby) of Akron, Ohio, and Jay Webster (Susie) of Mitchell; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at French Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Lebanon Cemetery, in Midland. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m., and again on Wednesday prior to services. Light a candle in her memory at:
