Howard Nelson Fox, 74, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, in St. Vincent’s Hospital Indianapolis. He had worked for many years in the Pontiac Division of General Motors. Nelson was born Aug. 21, 1938, in Waynesburg, Pa., to Willis E. Fox and Dorothy (Haines) Fox.
He is survived by his wife of nine years, Lucy Fox; stepsons, Don Marshall and his wife Betsey of Terre Haute and Jim Pulliam and his wife Jan of Evansville; brother, Larry A. Fox of Waynesburg; special cousin, Mark Fox; and dear friend, Chuck Fisher. He was a member of Waynesburg United Methodist Church. Nelson enjoyed reading and had a incredible memory, able to recall facts and figures from things he had read.
As per his request, cremation is scheduled. Burial will be at a later date in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mount Morris, Pa. The family has suggested that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to either Lions International or 14th and Chestnut Community Center. DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E.
