Doris Faye Stuthers, 74, of Terre Haute passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in Union Hospital.
She was a retired unit secretary at Union Hospital. Doris was born Oct. 23, 1938 in Portsmouth, Ohio, to James M. Gillum and Emma (Potter) Gillum.
She is survived by sons, Gerald E. Stuthers and his wife Shelly of Terre Haute, Jeffrey A. Stuthers of Paris, Ill., and James M. Stuthers and his wife Pam of Terre Haute; sisters, Sarah Diles and husband Paul of Sarasota, Fla., Banna Yates of Keystone Heights, Fla., Elsie Edington and her husband Kenny of Keystone Heights, Fla., Patricia A. Haley of Dayton, Ohio, and Linda S. Bentley and her husband Paul of Tipp City, Ohio; brother, Jack M. Gillum and his wife Lena of Troy, Ill.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Doris was a member of 8th Avenue Baptist Church and the Senior Citizens Center. Doris was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with all of her family, near and far.
Visitation will be from 2 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., with funeral services at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in the funeral home, with Pastor Dick Smith officiating.
