Carole Ann Lock

TERRE HAUTE — In Celebration of the life of Carole Ann Lock, 81, of Terre Haute, who passed away suddenly at 12:37 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital, while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Dec. 9, 1931, in Springfield, Ill., to William Hedrick and Ella Rodems Hedrick. Carole was a loving mother, grandmother, and just recently a great-grandmother. She lived a full and happy life, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Her family finds great comfort in knowing she is in heaven with the love of her life, her husband, Ross C. Lock, who passed in 2002.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Lock) Hines and her husband Robert, Bruce Lock and wife Ava, and Steven Lock and wife Rebecca. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Krista Butler and her husband Jeff, Jared Hines, Eric Hines, Katie Lock, Adam Lock, Jeremy Lock and Taylor Lock, as well as one great-grandson, Reese. In addition, several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Hines.

Her memberships include St. Margaret Mary Church, where she also served on the altar society as vice-president, St. Margaret Mary Retirees’ Club, and was very active as a volunteer in various Catholic Charities’ Organizations.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, with Father Bernie LaMontagne officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in St. Margaret Mary Church, with a rosary service at 7 p.m. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Catholic Charities, in her memory.
