William F. Lowe

CLINTON — William (Bill) F. Lowe, 91, of Clinton, passed away at 6 a.m. on Jan 6, 2013, in Vermillion Convalescent Center. He was born May 28, 1921, in Hutsonville, Ill., to Elmer A. Lowe and Mary Pearl Hightshoe Lowe Thomas.

He was a World War II veteran and a grain and livestock farmer. He also was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rowena (Tudy) (Bennett) Lowe; brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Dorothy Osborn, Jim and Wanita Lowe, Bob and Betty Lowe, Joseph Thomas, Lester Thomas, John and Polly Thomas; and one sister and brother-in-law Marie and Don Heitt.

He is survived by two children, William H. Lowe and Barbara Lowe, and Bruce A. Lowe and Debbie Lowe; six grandchildren, Melissa Kay Lowe, Billy and Hollie Lowe, Amanda and Dustin Blair, Lisa and Dale Colter, Lela Lowe, and Emma and Preston Butler; four great-grandchildren, Kylee Blair, Dylan Blair, Lindsay Colter and Breydon Butler; two sisters, Irene and Howard Draper, and Fern and Mike Smith; and one brother, Sam and Margaret Thomas.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Frist Funeral Home. Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m., with Brother Lowell Doty officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
