TERRE HAUTE — A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at St. Mary of the Dunes Catholic Church,Florence, Oregon, for Anna Grace Carroll who went home to her Savior Dec. 5, 2012, in Portland. She was 88 years of age.

Anna was born on March 15, 1924, in Cleveland, Ohio, the youngest of three children of Frank and Catherine (Daugherty) Mengel. Raised and schooled in Cleveland, she later married William Francis Carroll on Nov. 28, 1946. They lived in the Terre Haute, Ind., area for 30 years. Anna and Bill moved to Portland, Ore., in 2012. Anna worked for Weyerhaeuser in Federal Way, Washington before moving to Florence in 1989.

Ann is survived by her husband of 66 years, children; Nancy Carroll of Portland, Oregon, Dan & Kathy Carroll of Portland, Oregon, Kevin & Jnana Carroll of Florence, Oregon, Tim & Elizabeth Carroll of Nashville, Tennessee, grandchildren; Tanika Arnold and Sam, Brian, Grant, Lori & Luke Carroll and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by siblings: Mary Baxter and Joseph Mengel.

Private inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery. Rose City Funeral Home in charge of arrangements 503-281-3821. Online condolences can be made to the family at:
