Betty June Cuffle Wilguess, 90, of West Terre Haute, passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 22, 2012, at Paris Healthcare Center, in Paris, Ill. She retired as a group leader from Columbia Records (CBS), in Terre Haute, after many years of service. She was born Aug. 6, 1922, in Ashland, Wis., to Ernest Sylvester Cuffle and Bertha Callahan Cuffle. She married Bert Wilguess on Oct. 7, 1942, in West Terre Haute, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1973.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Bert and Karen Wilguess, Gary and Joyce Wilguess, and David and Cheryl Wilguess; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Danny Beemer, and Terri and Bob Frost; three sisters, Maxine Liggett, Jane Syndron, and Jeraldine Reynolds; a brother, Harry Cuffle; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ella Mae Stewart and Mary Hood; four brothers, Dick, Jerry, John, and Jack Cuffle; and a grandson, Gary Lee Wilguess.
She was a member of the Sixth Street Wesleyan Church in West Terre Haute and she enjoyed life.
Funeral services for Betty will be 1 p.m. Thursday, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bob Weeks officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Thursday.
