Nina Mae Stewart, 94, of Terre Haute, passed away at 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, in Springhill Village Healthcare. She was born in Vigo County, on June 4, 1916, to Fred E. Maners and Jessie Brown Maners.
She retired after having worked many years in the maintenance and housekeeping department of the Vigo County Public Library and also had been very active in the foster grandparents program. She also was a member of the New Hope Community Church since 1945.
She is survived by one sister, Nola Rhoads; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was married to Carl Stewart, and he preceded her in death in 1974; six brothers; six sisters; and one half sister.
Funeral services will be held in DeBaun Springhill Chapel today, Sept. 2, 2010, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ray Austin officiating. Burial will be in Hull Cemetery. Visitation is today from noon until 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
