Gloria Kay Stiffey

Gloria Kay Stiffey, 65, of Terre Haute, our wonderful and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Union Hospital with her family by her side. Gloria was born in Terre Haute on July 9, 1947, the daughter of the late Dwight and Anna Mae (Holler) Moreland. She attended State High School and was later united in marriage to her loving husband, Tom Stiffey. Together their marriage was blessed with 41 years.

Gloria worked for several years as an optical technician. Her pride and joy was her family, who she held very near to her heart. Gloria will always be remembered for her caring and giving nature, her wonderful holiday decorations, her cakes and her love of shopping. As a woman who always put others before herself, Gloria's memory will live on in the hearts of those she knew for generations to come.

Gloria leaves behind her loving husband, Tom; children, Starla (Andy) Mathers, Lisa (Shawn) Barker, Robbin (David White) Pierce, Marsha Stiffey, and Joe (Susan) Stiffey. Gloria was the awesome and loving grandma of Joshua, Kurtis (Ashley), Ashlyn, Clay, Reggie (Lindsay), Brandy (David), Katie, Matthew, Abbi, Macaleb, Mackenzy and Madison. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Lane, Reid, Gavin, Sierra, Ava, Sophie, Kyra, McKenzie, Layla; her brother, Charles (Bonnie) McCallister; two great-great-grandchildren on the way; along with several loving nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was welcomed home to heaven by her brother, Tommy Moreland.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, from 11 a.m. until Gloria's Funeral Ceremony at 2 p.m., at Roselawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Gloria's entire family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Suzanne, Sharon and the staff of Union Hospital, along with the entire staff of Vista Care Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Gloria. Memorial contributions in memory of Gloria may be directed to Vista Care Hospice. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at:
