TERRE HAUTE —
Florence E. Chandler, 99, of Terre Haute, passed away at 3:50 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. Florence was born Sept. 11, 1913, in Charleston, Ill., to Frank Siders and Alice (Phipps) Siders.
She is survived by a nephew, Larry Wilson and his wife Sandy of Terre Haute; nieces, Carol Laycock of Terre Haute and Sonja Evelo and husband Skip of Tallahassee, Fla.; and great-nieces, great-nephews, and other family members. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lowell T. Chandler, who died in 1986; a sister, Blanche Updegraff; and two brothers, Jimmy Siders and Harry Siders.
She attended Hulman St. Wesleyan Church and was a hard working and dedicated woman who was a very kind and giving person.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the chapel at Roselawn Memorial Park with the Revs. Harvey Weaver and Dan Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. There is no visitation. DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at:
