Evelyn Mae Davis, 95, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012. She was a long time resident of Indianapolis. She was born on April 7, 1917, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Fred and Edna (Dunn) Archer. She married W. Eustace Davis on June 28, 1938.

She is survived by children, Robin Frazier of Modesto, Calif., Janice (Tim) Martin of Terre Haute, Kim Horn of Macon, Ga., and Melinda Mitchell, Kevin Davis and Davant (Kim) Davis, all of Greenwood; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty (Mel) Cameron of LaGrange, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W. Eustace; daughter, Melissa Davis; granddaughter, Cary Crawford; great-grandson, Brennan Dougherty; and brother, Leonard Archer.

Evelyn attended St.Anthony School of Nursing in Terre Haute, receiving her degree as a Registered Nurse. She was employed by St. Anthony Hospital for five years and later worked at Johnson Memorial Hospital, retiring after 27 years of service.

She enjoyed crocheting and was a great cook, always trying new recipes. Evelyn truly loved spending time with her family.

The Rev. Walter Howard will conduct a service on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton St., (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Monday, July 16, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute.
