BRAZIL, Ind. — Elaine Urbain, 65, of Brazil, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2012, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital, with her family by her side. Elaine was born March 2, 1947, the daughter of Edward and Jean (Bugh) Blackmore. Elaine was a part of the graduating class of 1965, from Rockville High School. Following high school Elaine acquired her beautician license, where she operated out of her own home. Elaine was an EMT for Parke County Ambulance Service and also worked for Vermillion County Hospital. Elaine acquired her real estate license and was employed by F.C. Tucker Realtors.

She enjoyed oil painting, her four dogs, and swimming in her pool. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Elaine is preceded in death by her father; and sister, Edda Jane Blackmore

She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Ball) Cunningham and husband James of Brazil; grandsons, Steven Hammonds of Brazil, and Daniel Cunningham of Germany; sister, Harriet Vaught and husband Don of Brazil; brother, Joe Blackmore of Parke County; mother, Jean Blackmore; family member, Gary Urbain of Rockville; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Services for Elaine will be Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 1 p.m., at Lawson-Miller Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday, July 14, 2012, from 11 a.m. until services.
