Betty Joan Lee

TERRE HAUTE —

Betty Joan Lee, 77, of Terre Haute, went to be with her beloved husband, brother and sister on Nov. 11, 2012, at 2:49 p.m. She was born Dec. 1, 1934, to Herbert Herrington and Sadie (Wyrick) Herrington. Betty was a member of the Red Hat Society, Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 104 Auxiliary, and a bunco club. She retired from the Vigo County School Corporation as a Chapter 1 reading assistant, and she volunteered for several years at Helping Hands. Betty will be remembered by her loved ones and friends as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Edward Lee Jr. ; brother, Leroy Herrington; and sisters, Shelby Jean Herrington and Loraine Herrington.  

She is survived by her son, Frank M. Lee; daughter, Brenda Davis and husband Albert Edward Davis III; brother, Tom Bunch; grandchildren, Vanessa Vaughn- Hamm and Lester Adam Vaughn III; great-grandchildren, Ryan Lee Blystone, Dakota Marie Hamm, and Tyler James Duncan; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society.
