BRAZIL —
Mia Isabella Featherling, born into this world on July 6, 2012, and entered eternal life on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012. Mia passed away from complications of a Metabolic Disease Syndrome and had been treated at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis many times since birth.
Mia leaves behind her loving family, mom and dad, Michael and Lindsay Buerster Featherling of Brazil, and formerly of Charleston, Ill.; big sister, Mary-Claire Featherling; grandparents, Paul and Michele Buerster of Charleston, Thomas Featherling and wife Linda of Sullivan, Ill., and Ellen Woolum and husband Robert of Chrisman, Ill.; great-grandmothers, Doris Featherling, Georgia Redford, and Betty Allen, all of Sullivan; aunts and uncles, Vicki and Don Phillips, Paula and Eric Johnson of Charleston, Branden Featherling, Nina Sides of Sullivan, Jason Swango of Windsor, Ill., Matt Swango of St. Louis, Gaylon Swango of Charleston, Natasha and Hywel Foley of South Carolina, and Kaitlyn Young of Charleston; many cousins and special friends of the family, Justin and Ashlee Florey; and many other friends and extended family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at 12 noon, EST, at Annunciation Church, 415 E. Church St., in Brazil, with Father John Hollowell officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riley Hospital, Office of Molecular Genetics for Research of Metabolic Disease, 975 W. Walnut St. Room 130, Indianapolis, IN 46202-5251.
