Carolyn L. Dooley, 81, of Terre Haute, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Sunday Morning, Aug. 29, 2010, at Meadows Manor North. She was born on May 23, 1929, in Madisonville, Ky., to Joseph Clayton and Julia Knight Clayton.
She was retired from the Bridal Cottage.
She is survived by one daughter, Terri Stott; one stepdaughter, Mary Kay Rednour; two sisters, Marie Dodd and Thelma Mullins; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Dooley; and 12 siblings.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, 4660 N. Lafayette Ave., with Linda Dodd officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time Thursday.
