Donald C. Borgman, 91, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at 2:50 p.m., in Union Hospital. He was a factory supervisor/foreman for Wabash Fibre Box. Donald was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Batesville, to Clarence Borgman and Flora C. (Rimstidt) Borgman.
He is survived by two sons, Stephen Borgman and wife Sharon of Decatur, Ill., and Bradley Harris and wife Becky of Avon; four daughters, Frances Blackburn and husband Bill of Decatur, Jan Houser and husband Richard, Brenda O’Neal and husband John, and Becky Doti and husband David, all of Terre Haute; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy (Halzhause) Borgman; his second wife, Betty (King) Borgman; a brother, Warren Borgman; and a grandchild.
Donald was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Visitation is Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m., in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive. Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at 10 a.m., in Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dana Newhouse officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, with military honors provided by Lawton-Byrum Post 972 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
