TERRE HAUTE — Eileen Mullen Mars Daily, 90, of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at 4:16 a.m., in Union Hospital. She was born June 13, 1922, in Clark County, Ill., to Dewey Mullen and Lucille Lee Mullen.

Eileen was a graduate of Valley High School in West Terre Haute. She retired from the Welfare Department where she worked in accounting. She loved to travel, garden and shop. She loved her family and friends and spending time with them, especially at family gatherings.

She was preceded in death her husband, Thomas Daily, who died in 2003; a son, William George Mars, who died in 1949; and two brothers, Jack Mullen and Robert Mullen.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Mars and wife Sue of Terre Haute, and John Robert Mars and wife Cynthia of San Antonio; a daughter, Judy Anderson and husband Brent of Terre Haute. She also is survived by a sister, Sue Fields of Terre Haute; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her cat, Fred.

Services will be 1 p.m. today, Oct. 3, 2012, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. The Rev. Rick Swan will be officiating. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. If friends so desire, contributions may be made to Terre Haute Humane Society. Online condolences may be made at: www.greinerfuneralhome.com
