TERRE HAUTE —
Letitia “Tootsie” Gindele, 86, of Terre Haute, died Friday, September 21, 2012, in Union Hospital. She was born August 21, 1926, in Terre Haute, to Nick and Anna Oprisu. Letitia retired from Indiana Bell as a telephone operator after 20 years of service.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Albert Gindele; daughter, Diane Mast and her husband Jeff of Terre Haute; sister, Mary Ann Rosner and her husband Paul of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Jennifer Mast of Covington and Steven Mast and his wife Mereith of Frankfort; great grandson, Luke Mast; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Nick Oprisu and Emil Oprisu.
Letitia graduated from Garfield high School.
It was her request that there be no services or visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
