CASS — Thomas Glenn Ming, 64, of Cass, passed away at 4:07 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2013, at his residence. He was born in Gorman, Texas, June 30, 1948, the son of Thomas A. Ming and Maxine Orr Ming.
Thomas was a Vietnam U.S. Army veteran, retired from Crane Naval Weapons Support, was a member of Dugger American Legion Post 224, Sullivan Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2459, and the American Amateur Radio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shannon Ming; a twin brother, Johnnie Ming; and a sister, Cathy Hitchcock.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Helen Williams Ming, whom he married October 6, 1968; one son, Kenny Ming (Devona) of Sullivan; one daughter, Dori Ming of Cass; six grandchildren, Bridget, Liam, Brenden, Kathleen, Lauren, and Nora.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Dugger Cemetery with Matt Watson officiating. Military graveside rites by the Army National Guard Honor Guard, and Dugger American Legion. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Newkirk’s Funeral Home, in Dugger.
