Lucille Maxine Eddy Baugh

TERRE HAUTE — Lucille Maxine Eddy Baugh, 84, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday, Sept., 18, 2012, in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Terre Haute. She was born Jan. 3, 1927, in Terre Haute, to Florence Thomas Eddy and Joseph Eddy.

Her father died when she was four years old and her mother married Jasper Belleu. Lucille considered him her father and loved him dearly. She has still living, two brothers, Frank Belleu and George Belleu; and three sisters, Bonnie Harvey, Martha Smith, and Annie Howard. In Heaven she has four brothers, Joseph Eddy, Kenneth Eddy, Tom Belleu, and Cecil Belleu; and one sister, Kathleen Eddy Stevens. Also in heaven, she has one aunt, Lorrine Thomas Figg, whom she loved as a sister; and one granddaughter, Denise Dubois.

On Dec. 13, 1945, she married Lorenzo “Pete” Baugh. and they had four children whom are surviving, Linda Dubois, Susan Baum-Reed, Jim Baugh, and Nancy Hickman. These four children gave them 10 grandchildren with nine of them surviving, Daniel Dubois (Cindy), Kimberly Dubois-Harrison (Brad), Mark Baum (LaVonne), Matthew Baum (Michelle), Jimmie Baugh (Kim), Jason Baugh, Justin Baugh, Leslee Hickman-Sherk (Andy), and Ryan Hickman (Alison); and 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Lucille loved her family and loved cooking for them and she was a great cook. She was a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible and doing puzzles. She was known to play a hand of poker now and again. She worked at CBS for many years and some of her friends called her Lucy. She was friendly and loved people and had a beautiful smile.

Lucille’s funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, in Sugar Creek Baptist Church, 1050 S. Thorpe Place, in West Terre Haute, with Pastor Larry Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., in West Terre Haute, and 12 noon until service time Saturday in the church. The family suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association with envelopes available at the funeral home and the church.
