REELSVILLE — Billy Elroy Vaughn, 55, of Reelsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute of a massive heart attack. He was born on Jan. 24, 1957, to Elwin and Luella Vaughn.

Billy was employed at Columbia Home Products and worked at Numerical Concepts for 18 years. He was a Putnam County foster parent for nine years and was a computer guru. He also owned Upgrade one. He enjoyed RC racing and cycling. He will be remembered for his kind spirit and his dry wit.

Billy is survived by his wife of 20 years, the former Charlene Bennett; sons, Lionel Pruse, 27, of Terre Haute, Dustin Weddle, 23, of Terre Haute, Mark Williams, 17, of Indianapolis, and daughter, Alisha Kelley, 13, of Reelsville; sisters, Norma West and Imogene Glenor, both of Paragold, Ariz., and Betty Frazier of Wynne, Ariz.; brothers, Elwin “Sonny” Vaughn, Art Vaughn, Clifford Vaughn, and Ronnie Vaughn, all of Terre Haute. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, John Edward Vaughn and Jimmy Vaughn Sr.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. at his home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family.
