Dylan Dean Lofton, 20, of Darlington, and formerly of Terre Haute, began his spiritual journey with the angels of Heaven on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. He was born Dec. 8, 1992, in Terre Haute, to his loving mother, Melissa Ann Lofton Cooper and father, Eddie Broderson.

Dylan was a strong young man from the time of his heavenly arrival here on Earth, even though his many struggles and challenges that sometimes occur in life, Dylan never gave up. He always encouraged those around him to be strong and brave and to never lose faith.

The dream of all dreams of which is endless love and spiritual faith and that for everyone to connect no matter what the material world has to offer, for God has no boundaries.

Recently, Dylan received his GED and was looking into colleges. He was currently attending Woodland Heights Christian Church and was recently baptized by the Rev. Tony Thomas. He was employed at ATCO Rubber Products in Crawfordsville.

Dylan is survived by his loving mother, Melissa Ann Lofton Cooper and her husband Bradley F. Cooper; his father, Eddie Broderson; his brother, Joseph A. Lofton; stepsister, Whitney Barbee; maternal grandparents, Gary and Patricia Lofton; uncles, Elliott D. Lofton and son Jeremy, Jeffrey A. Lofton and son, Robert; an aunt, Melinda K. Eldridge and daughters, Randi and Ashley Barreira; special friends, Marla and Scott Hatchel; and a whole host of friends which he deeply considered his family as well.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at First Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 1875 S. Fruitridge Ave., Terre Haute, with visitation beginning at 3 to 4 p.m. followed by the ceremony until 6 p.m. The Revs. Jenny Bridgeton and Tony Thomas will officiate the memorial service.
