TERRE HAUTE — Jane Ellen Kindel, 70, of Terre Haute, passed away at 2:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Springhill Village in Terre Haute. She was born Dec. 20, 1941, in Vigo County, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Kindel on Sept. 1, 2011. Survivors include two sons, Charles Rukes Jr. and Randal A. Rukes, both of Terre Haute; a daughter, Jamie E. Staples of Terre Haute; her mother, Gladys DeLatte Manis of Terre Haute; three grandchildren, Preston Rukes of Martinsville, Ill., and Nicole Rukes and Melissa Rukes, both of Terre Haute; a great-grandson, Marcus Davis Jr.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also was preceded in death by her father, Lyman “Curley” Matherly; her stepfather, Walter D. Manis; and a brother, Steven Bogle.

Jane's funeral service will be 12 noon Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, in the Chapel of Memories Mausoleum at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Saturday also in the chapel. A committal service and burial of ashes will take place immediately after services. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, West Terre Haute, assisted with arrangements.
