Bertha Claudine Bedwell, born July 2, 1939, went to join her family in heaven on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012.

Claudine is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raymond Bedwell; their four children, Mari (Robert) White, Raymond Bedwell Jr. and Peggy, Kathy Garrison, and Don Bedwell (Sherry); and her six grandchildren whom she adored: Dustin, Zach, Spencer, Donovan, Devin, and Chloe. She also was “Grandma Bedwell” to Byron and Bradan. Claudine was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Conard; her father, John Finus Conard; brother, Teddy; and her son-in-law, Brian Garrison.

Claudine was employed at Chesty Foods for 35 years and at Sony DADC for an additional 10 years. Claudine’s life was devoted to her children and grandchildren, and worked selflessly to provide a loving home environment and a secure future for her family. She was most fulfilled when helping her children to achieve their goals and took great pride in their accomplishments. Those who have known Claudine will be forever inspired by her pure spirit and the grace and integrity with which she lived her life.

Visitation will be on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with funeral services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be left at:
