Paul Wilson, resident of Metairie, La., passed away at East Jefferson General Hospital at 10 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2012. At his request no service will be held. Mr. Wilson was born Nov. 12, 1953, in Clinton, Ind., to Tom and Willadean Wilson. Paul worked as an electrician for most of his life but was skilled in many different trades. He was a talented guitar player and enjoyed playing every day. In 1997 Mr. Wilson moved to Metairie for employment. He was a great talented man, hard worker but most of all the best husband and father.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Tom Wilson; brothers, Tim Wilson and Randy Dowell; sister, Linnie Wilson; and nephew, Joel Hibbens.
He is survived by his parents Bill and Willadean Dowell; wife of 19 years. Barbara Wilson; son, Paul Wilson Jr. and wife Shombe; daughters, Kelly Wilson and fiancé Alejandro Lopez; Christie Browning and husband Ashley; Jessica Wilson and fiancé Cesar Loera; Kylie Wilson and fiancé Jorge Burke Jr.; five grandchildren, Michael, Ashton, Tomas, Olivia and Randy; brother, Rick Dowell and wife Sue; sisters, Dee Rollings; Cassie Cook and husband Kent; and Skyra Edington. As well as many nieces and nephews, including William Pestoff whom which Paul was very close. He will be greatly missed, loved forever and never forgotten.
