TERRE HAUTE — FARMERSBURG — Richard T. “Dick” Jones, 81, of Farmersburg, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Richard was born on Aug. 13, 1930, in Follansbee, W. Va., to David H. Jones and Florence Westwood Jones. He was a 1948 graduate of Follansbee High School and a graduate of West Liberty State Collage in W. Va., and received his master’s degree from Indiana State University. He was a teacher and a coach at North Central High School from 1967 until his retirement in 1985, was a past member of the North East School Corporation Board, past member of the Ruritan Club of Farmersburg, and an ordained Lay Minister of the First Presbyterian Church in Farmersburg. Preceding him in death are his parents; and two brothers, John Jones and William Jones.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Doris Gaulesky Jones; a daughter, Suzanne Jones of Sullivan; two sons, Randy Jones and his wife Sandra Stuck Jones of Kemah Texas, and Barry Jones and his wife Angela Beyer Jones of Evansville; a sister, Nancy Wiseman and her husband John of Weirton, W. Va.; four grandchildren, Sarah Jones, Abigail Labhart, Michael Jones, and Matthew Jones; 10 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Farmersburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. John Turner officiating. Burial will be in Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery. Services were entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel, in Sullivan. Online condolences may be made at:
