JASONVILLE — Jacob Passen, 84, of Jasonville, passed away at 1:54 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center. He was born Nov. 26, 1927, in Jasonville, to Theodore Passen and Mary (Hicks) Passen. Jacob worked at Formfit for 19 years, Allison’s for 16 years, and General Motors about one year. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy Wheeler of Jasonville, Rhonda and Dan Wallisa of Loogootee, Holly and Travis Crane of Lewis; sons, John Passen of Loogootee, and Brian Passen of Shoals; grandchildren, Steve Wheeler, Brandy Raines, James Wallisa, Jeana Wallisa, Jacob Wallisa, Loryn Crane, and Drew Crane; great-grandchildren, Scott Wheeler, Brandon Wheeler, Julie Wheeler, Christian Raines, Layla Raines, and Phoenix Parsons; sisters, Betty Petit of Welston, Ohio, Della Passen of Terre Haute, and Doris Wise of Jasonville; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ted Passen, Bill Passen and George Passen; and sisters, Margaret Funkhouser and Christina Ladson.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Cox Funeral Home, 218 S. Meridian St., with Father Frank Renner officiating. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services Thursday. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery, in Midland.
