TERRE HAUTE —
George E. “Joe” Jones, of Terre Haute, passed away at 8:25 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, in Springhill Village. Joe was born Aug. 18, 1933, in Blanford, Ind., to George Jones and Mary Sakala Jones.
Joe was retired from Dever Distributing and had formerly worked at Red Bright Distributing. Joe was a veteran of the U.S. Army, enjoyed making bird houses in his garage, playing pool and spending time with his grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Ernest Jones. Joe is survived by his wife, Cindy Jones Jones; two daughters, Stephanie Davison and her husband Rick and Toni Jo Callahan and her husband Casey, all of Terre Haute. He also is survived by six grandchildren, Maddison, Olivia, Camren, Carson, Conner, and Cayci Clair Callahan, all of Terre Haute.
Cremation has been chosen with no services. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, in Terre Haute has been entrusted with arrangements. On line condolences may be made at:
