TERRE HAUTE — Gerald Wayne Brown, 73 years old, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012. He was born on May 27, 1939, to Charles and Sarah (Marshall) Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Sally JoAnn (Richey) Brown; three sisters, Donna Jean Bryant, Catherine Rose Howard, and Mary Lou Supp; brother-in-law, Jesse E. Richey Jr.; four sisters-in-law, Rosean Richey, Barbara Richey, Janet Richey, and Leona Richey; five stepchildren, Beth Fay X. Ornforff, Ritchie A. Payne, James W. Payne Jr., Rebecca Lynn Beard, and Timothy Alan Payne; many nieces and nephews of brother Charles Brown, Jr. and Lula Brown, which he raised with one calling him Dad, Jimmy Brown. Other nieces and nephews are Ronnie Brown, Charlie Brown, David Brown, Betty and Danny Johnson, Linda Sollars and Mindy, Debbie Miller, Becky Jo and best friend Greg Porter, Sharon Berkley, Beverly, Darlene, and Tillie.

Jerry loved life and people, his family, and God. All who knew him loved him. He will be sorely missed by his wife.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Calvary Chapel Church, 2221 Wabash Avenue, with a luncheon to follow at noon, then graveside services will be in Prairie Creek West Lawn Cemetery at 2 p.m. Online condolences can be offered at:
