J. Ruth Bouillez
J. Ruth Bouillez, 90, of Terre Haute died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a homemaker. She was born Feb. 15, 1915, in Terre Haute to Herbert and Juanita Pence Inglert. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Herschell P. Bouillez, who died in June 2005.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Gorman and her husband, Ernest of Columbus, Ohio, and Marsha Carlock and her husband, David of Terre Haute; five grandchildren, Terry Gorman, Kerry Westenbarger, David Gorman, Dawn Clinkenbeard and her husband, Mark, and Dustin Pine; seven great-grandchildren Christian Evans, Skyler Westenbarger, Danielle Gorman, Tyler Gorman, Conner Clinkenbeard, Kylie Clinkenbeard, and Mitchell Klinkenbeard; and many nieces and nephews; four sisters, Alice Newkirk, Grace Branam, Jeannine Hoke and Wilma Inglert; one brother, Herbert Inglert; and a former son-in-law, Mike Pine of Florida.
She was a 50-year member of the former First United Methodist Church, and was a current member of Northside Community United Methodist Church. She was a really good wife, mother, and grandmother, supporting her family and working alongside her husband.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., with the Rev. Mark Fleschner officiating. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 705 Putnam St., Terre Haute, IN 47802, with envelopes available in the funeral home.
Louise Johanna Bugni
Louise Johanna Bugni, 96, of Terre Haute died at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, in Davis Gardens Health Center. She had been a forklift operator for Terre Haute Ordnance Depot from 1942 to 1950. She was born Nov. 5, 1909, in Pelkie, Mich., to Joseph Kyllonen and Emma Keranen Klyllonen.
She lived in the Farmersburg/Pimento area for many years, traveling four times a week to the YWCA in Terre Haute for more than 30 years, regardless of the weather, for her exercise. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bugni, on Dec. 28, 1997.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Dorothy Bennett of Almo, Calif.; seven grandchildren, the Gibson family, Bourne family, Finmark family, Steve Bennett, Jim Bennett family and Jim and Lynn Bryant; and nine great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Walnut Grove Cemetery Chapel in Clinton, with Bob Howard officiating. Visitation is 10 a.m. to services, in the chapel. Frist Funeral Home in Clinton is handling the arrangements.
Iris M. Funkhouser
Iris M. Funkhouser, 89, of Terre Haute, died at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, in Davis Gardens Health Care Center. She retired from the Vigo County School Corp. as the head cook at Fuqua Elementary School.
She was born Sept. 3, 1916, in Vigo County to Otto Armstrong and Cloe Fox. Survivors include three sons, Ryan Funkhouser and his wife Sharon, Dennis Funkhouser, and Darcy Funkhouser and his wife Valeria; one daughter, Clovella Vernatte; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Funkhouser, in 1978; and a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Keith Denton.
She was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.
Graveside services are 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, with the Rev. Aaron Wheaton officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. DeBaun Funeral Homes and Crematory assisted with the arrangements.
Marymarie Hicks
Marymarie Hicks, 79, of Terre Haute died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006. She attended Indiana Business College and over the years worked for many businesses including Columbia Records, Woolco Department Store, General Electric and the California Franchise Tax Board. She was born Oct. 2, 1926, in West Terre Haute to Alva C. Breneman and Marie Ketner Breneman. Her husband of 54 years, Richard A. “Allie” Hicks, whom she married May 2, 1948, preceded her in death in 2002.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Melissa and Dimas DeLeon of Maryville, Tenn.; Muriel and Danny Spitler of Terre Haute, and Melinda and Donald Seader of Bloomington; two sons, Rickey A. Hicks of Sacramento, Calif., and Nicholas Hicks and his wife, Adel of Citrus Heights, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Ernestine Bunzell and her husband, Ernest, and their family; several nieces and nephews; and her devoted dog, Snoopy. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James Breneman; and four sisters, Margaret Ann Brenemen, Alice Breneman, Violet May Breneman and Kathleen Price.
She loved her jobs, but also loved decorating her house and traveling. Her jobs took her from Terre Haute to California to Colorado, and then back to California. After retiring, she and her husband returned to their Midwestern roots and enjoyed their newest round of grandkids and great-grandkids. They traveled regularly to California and Tennessee to visit their children and they enjoyed trips to Florida in the winter.
Funeral services are private in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., with the Rev. Jeanne Winter officiating. There is no visitation. Friends are asked to join her family for a celebration of life from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Northside Community United Methodist Church.

Gabriel Isaiah Marlar
Gabriel Isaiah Marlar, infant son of Daniel Layton Marlar and Deana M. Steele Marlar died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, in Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Nov. 30, 2005, in Union Hospital.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers; his twin, Caiden Zachariah Marlar, and Draven Daniel Marlar; one sister, Cameran Cheyanne Marlar; paternal grandparents, Delbert Marlar and his wife, Sandra of Seelyville; maternal grandparents, Vicky Mundell and her husband, Jim of Terre Haute, and Barry Steele and his wife, Vicki of Brooksville; great-grandparents, Helen Clouse and her husband, William of Terre Haute, and Helen Steele and her husband, William of Greendale; a great-great-grandmother, Mariam Clouse of Terre Haute; and numerous aunts, uncles and many cousins.
Funeral services are 12:30 p.m. Friday in the Chapel at Highland Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Gary Larimer officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 S. 25th St., is in charge of the arrangemenmts.
Florence I. Rich
Florence I. Rich, 97, of Terre Haute died Monday evening, Jan. 16, 2006, in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a homemaker. She was born June 19, 1908, in Harriman, Tenn., to Jack Shelton and Mary Riggs Shelton. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Roy Isham and Richard Rich.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Outland and her husband, Dick of Lakeland, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Ron Sons of Terre Haute, Kenneth Isham and his wife, Debra of Dayton, Ohio, Ron Isham and his wife, Sharon of Orlando, Fla., Margaret Evinger and her husband, Gary, Lee Sons and his wife, Nancy, and Mike Sons and his wife, Debra, all of Terre Haute, and John Outland of Fiskdale, Mass; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and a very dear and close friend, Maxine Crawley Brooks of Terre Haute.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Margaret Pauline Sons; one son, Kenneth Isham; and a grandson, David Isham. She was a member of the Pentecostal House of Prayer.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday in Roselawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pentecostal House of Prayer, 1526 Harding Ave., Terre Haute, IN 47802.
Wylda Frances Elliott Wagner
Wylda Frances Elliott Wagner, 92, of South Jordan, Utah, and former longtime resident of Terre Haute, died Friday, Jan. 13, 2006. She was a cosmetologist for 50 years. She owned and operated a beauty salon in Terre Haute for 25 years. She was born Feb. 23, 1913, in Plainfield to Asher Vincent Elliott and Anna Edith Byarlay. She was preceded in death by one son, William Vincent Wagner, and her husband, Allen Grant Wagner.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Chris Wagner of Hampshire, England, one daughter, Carol Wagner Drummond of South Jordan; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services and burial were in Utah. A memorial service will occur at 2 p.m. May 26, 2006, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel in Terre Haute. A beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend is sadly missed by all. May you rest in peace until we meet again.

Dawna Andrea Arthur
FARMERSBURG — On Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, heaven received the gift of Dawna Andrea Arthur while she was giving birth to a baby girl. She was 41, and was born Jan. 6, 1965, in Terre Haute to Charles Fusco and Carol Rudisel Fusco.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Arthur; her parents; and her 10 children, Andrea Donham, Heather Moore, Jonathon Donham, Steven Shores, Danielle Shores, Fiona Bays, Gary Bays, Crystal Arthur, McKenzie Arthur and Britnee Arthur, born Jan. 21; two sisters, Cheryl Fogel and Lynne Akers; one brother, Jim Fusco; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are Friday in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn. Visitation is noon Friday in Mattox-Fidler Funeral Home in Farmersburg.

DUGGER — Connie Sue Cazzell, 42, of Dugger died at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, in her residence. She was employed by Boston Scientific in Spencer. She was born Jan. 23, 1964, in San Antonio to Lester Cazzell and Clara Linn Cazzell.
Survivors include her mother of Dugger; one brother, David Cazzell and his wife, Judy of Jasonville; one nephew, Hans Miller and one niece, Heidi Hines. She was preceded in death by her father in 2001. She attended Bethel Community Church of Gambill.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Friday in Newkirk’s Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cletus Bough officiating. Burial is in Dugger Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today aand before services Friday in the funeral home.
