TERRE HAUTE —
Phillip Louis Elliott, 57, of Terre Haute, passed away Feb. 22, 2013, at his residence. He was born Jan. 3, 1956, in Jasper, to Alva Earl and Thelma Louise (Vonderschmidt) Elliott. He was a 1974 graduate of Schulte High School and attended Indiana State University. He worked for 37 years at AET as a machine operator. He enjoyed being a grandfather and spending time with his family.
Phil is survived by his mother; two daughters, Jennifer Hughes and husband Wesley of Terre Haute, and Courtney Stoltz and husband Jon of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Ava, Hayden, and Holden Hughes; four siblings, Earl Elliott and wife Tina of Terre Haute, Steve Elliott of Indianapolis, Janet Begle and husband Rob of Huntingburg, and Kenny Elliott and wife Lisa of Jasper. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Cindy Mitchell; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013. Phil will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park.
