TERRE HAUTE — Cynthia Baffy-Fowler, 56, of Terre Haute, passed away at 7:32 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, in St. Vincent’s Hospital. She was born on Jan. 11, 1956, to Jerry Fowler and Delilah Bowers. Cynthia was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She cherished her family, as she was their rock through many hard times. She enjoyed being around animals, drinking coffee, listening to music, and singing. Cynthia growing up and throughout her life was known as a daddy’s girl. She was a member of the Victory Christian Center in Seelyville. She attended Sally Beauty Academy, and later on became a nail technician.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Albert Baffy; daughters, Victoria Cassida and her husband Caleb and Sarah Baffy and her fiance David Belknap; sister-in-law, Mary Sclafani; mother-in-law, Margaret Baffy; her dog, Terre; and many other loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive, with the Rev. Shawn Riggs officiating. Burial will be at Morris Chapel Cemetery in Dugger. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Terre Haute Humane Society or The Lighthouse Mission. Online condolences can be made at: www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
