Joan Patricia Bussing

Brazil — Joan Patricia Bussing, 83, of House Springs, Mo., passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Mo. Joan was born Jan. 22, 1929, in Brazil, to Raymond Stephen Bussing Sr. and Marjorie Candice Fisher Bussing. Joan attended Annunciation B.V.M. Grade School and graduated from Brazil High School, class of 1937. Joan worked at National Drug Store in Brazil until leaving for Long Island, N.Y., in 1961, to help care for her brother Tom’s children Susan and Chrisne. Joan devoted her life to Tom and her special nieces.

Preceding Joan in death were her parents Raymond and Marjorie Bussing; three brothers, Richard, Bernard and Raymond Bussing; two sisters-in-law, Patricia and Judith Bussing; one brother-in-law, Ray Dome; and one nephew, Kevin Bussing.

Surviving Joan are her two special nieces, Susan Bridges (Charles) of St. Charles, Mo., and Chrisne Bussing of Chesterfield, Mo.; two brothers, David Bussing of Brazil and Thomas Bussing of House Springs; one sister, Margaret Dome of Wilmington, Ill.; four sisters-in-law, Helen Bussing of Greenwood, and Ruth, Marilyn, and Veda Bussing, all of Brazil.

A memorial service will be Saturday Oct. 13, 2012, at Schrader Funeral Home, 14960 Manchester Road, Baldwin, Mo., beginning at 11 a.m.
