Mary Margaret Kindred, 54, of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at her home.
She was born on Aug. 2, 1958, in Terre Haute, the daughter of the late Roy and Lena May (Ward) Kindred. Mary worked as a bartender at Lena’s. She will always be remembered for her bubbly personality. When Mary was around, there was never a dull moment. She enjoyed playing on a pool league for Lena’s Lounge. Mary also enjoyed wrestling and criminal shows on television. She had a special place in her heart for her children and grandchildren and loved them dearly.
Mary is survived by her son, Ernest Goings, Jr.; daughter, Margaret McCullough and her husband, Larry; granddaughter, Caitlin Goings, whom she raised as her own; sister, Georgeanna Skinner and brother-in-law, Russel Skinner; brothers, Bill Jones and his wife, Victoria, Ed Fulk and Junior Fulk. She also leaves behind her special niece and nephew, Tracy and Robbert Stewart. Mary was the proud, loving and devoted grandma of 14 grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, from 11 a.m. until the time of Mary’s Memorial Ceremony at 1 p.m. at the Roselawn Funeral Home in Terre Haute. Pastor Wayne Grumbling will officiate. The entire family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Great Lakes Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.
