PRAIRIETON —
Jeffrey H. Maurer, 47, passed away on March 16, 2012, in Tavares, Fla. He formerly lived in Prairieton. He was a member of Prarieton Lodge 178 Free & Accepted Masons, AMVETS Post 1992, Eustis, Fla., U.S. Navy veteran, and Eagle Scout Troop 339.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Howard C. Maurer. He is survived by his wife, Debra Pioli Maurer; mother, Lavern Maurer; sister, Cheryl Maurer; and extended family.
Jeff was an inspiration for his strength and determination to live life to the fullest regardless of life’s challenges. His motto was “I Can Do It!” Jeff was loved and will be greatly missed.
Graveside services have been scheduled for Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 10 a.m. at New Harmony Cemetery with military honors. DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, is in charge of local arrangements.
