Ruth Annora Clay

TERRE HAUTE — Ruth Annora Clay, 86, of Bridgeton, Ind., passed away June 29, 2012, at Meadows Manor East, Terre Haute. She was born Oct. 18, 1925, in Terre Haute, the daughter of William and Cassie Williams Thompson. Her husband, William “Joe” Clay, passed away April 4, 1999. She graduated from Shelburn High School and was previously employed at Pfizer in Terre Haute,

Survivors include one daughter, Becky Griffiths (Tony) of Bridgeton; three grandchildren: Tony Griffiths II (Amy) of Terre Haute, Laura Angell (Erick) of Bridgeton, Allison Wilson (Jesse) of        Bridgeton; 12 great-grandchildren: Sebastian Griffiths, Jazmyne Griffiths, Gabriel Grigsby, Caiden Angell, Jacobi Wilson, Gavin Angell, Ember Wilson, Riddick Wilson, Kale Dove, Marieyah Rollins, Von Marceaux and Aerianna Marceaux; one sister: Barbara Moore of Hopkinsville, Ky., and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, William Thompson and one sister, Lois Jones.

Graveside services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Clear Run Cemetery, Bridgeton. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, Rockville. Burial will be in Clear Run Cemetery, Bridgeton.
