TERRE HAUTE —
Patricia H. Eddy, 79, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on Sept. 22, 1932, in Radison, Wis. to Harry R. and Mary L. (Warren) Hudson. She married Joseph Eddy on Oct. 2, 1948, and together they raised eight children. Patricia worked for many years as a custodian for the Vigo County School Corporation. She attended Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. She was a hard worker.
Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Patricia will be deeply missed.
Patricia is survived by her children: Vicki Cole and her husband Bud of Terre Haute; Beverly Connor and her husband Paul of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; Patricia Edington and her husband Jack of Tuscumbia, Ala.; Cindy Edington and her husband Jeff of Brazil; Penny Coleman and her husband Larry of Terre Haute; Tammie Higgins and her husband Rick of Terre Haute; Timothy Eddy of Terre Haute; and Terry Eddy and his companion Rhonda Hoopingarner of Terre Haute; 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and five on the way; a brother, James W. Hudson and his wife Martha of Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; a son, Larry Joseph Eddy; grandson, J.J. Edington; sisters, Pearl Grimes and Fern Bear; and brothers, Bob, Larry, and Chuck Hudson.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, June 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20 at the funeral home with the Rev. Curtis Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care. The Eddy family wishes to thank Vista Care and Area 7 for the care and compassion they received during Patricia’s final days.
