SHELBURN —
Maudie Wilson Bye, 86, of Shelburn, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at her home. She was born in Sullivan County on Dec. 8, 1926, to Cammie Denver Higgins and Laurel May LeFler Higgins. Maudie was a 1944 graduate of Sullivan High, a homemaker, and mother of four children.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her first husband, John Charles Wilson; her second husband, Robert O. Bye; a grandson, Bruce Robinson Wilson; and a son-in-law, Walter Prater.
Surviving members are two sons, James (Vera) Wilson of Murfreesboro Tenn., and Charles Wilson of Tiptonville Tenn.; two daughters, Cammie Smith of Shelburn, and Brenda Stelle of Woodlands, Texas; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Maudie will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be at Holmes Memorial Chapel on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
