Catherine J. Buchanan, 97, of Terre Haute, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, in her residence. She was born June 22, 1915, in Terre Haute, to Charles E. Barnett and Martha Hite Barnett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Buchanan; her parents; twin sister, Dorothy Voelcker; sisters, Louise Balch, and Margaret Heaton; and brother, Major James Barnett.
She is survived by nephews, William Balch of Salem, Ohio, and James Barnett of Yale, Mich.; and great-nephews, Brad Balch of Terre Haute and Scott Balch of Rensselaer.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at Highland Lawn Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. David Deal officiating. There is no visitation. Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wabash Valley. Online condolences may be made at:
